John Jeevaratnam is a Toronto - based professional designer/artist/photographer.

John started his career in Editorial Illustration for The Globe and Mail newspaper. Then on to Multimedia/web design and eventually Broadcast Media Design. He has worked in-house with CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and NBC in America as a Graphic Designer full-time. Currently, he is freelancing and working pro bono as a Graphic designer in Toronto, Canada.

After spending many years in design production, John began building a parallel portfolio in his passion for nature photography. That evolved into Photo Journalism, Documentary Photography, and Street Photography. The raw gritty street in contrast to nature appeals to his senses. Being a witness through a lens builds on his high level of empathy for the subject. Being a conduit for change motivates him as he ages. Issues that percolate him - human rights, strong opposition to guns, civil liberties, conservation in environmental issues, and faith-based options bring a balance and center to his life.

Through it all John has challenged himself - building his skill set in illustration, design, photography, project management, creative direction along with his competencies in technology. The full package makes John inimitable as a creative, and a renaissance man to tap into in a bind. For John creativity and opportunity go hand in hand.
